Our sincere thanks to yourselves and all your team for our wedding last Saturday. We had an amazing time over the weekend. Every member of staff was a credit to you and your hotel. They were extremely helpful, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
Extended thanks to the kitchen staff too. The wedding breakfast, the fish and chips and breakfasts were all superb. We were so happy with it all. Thank you for your help during the run up to the wedding with the need to rearrange, change numbers and rooms. It made what would have been a stressful time really easy and let Jen and I sort out other things. We can't thank you enough. We will certainly be back for a long weekend again very soon. Thank you to everyone who made our wedding so perfect. I remember at the beginning of 2018 when we first visited the hotel looking at venues, the second we stepped inside Briery we knew it was where we were going to celebrate the most important day of our lives. The main thing that stood out then and still does now is every member of staff who works there. You are all so friendly and go out of your way to help and make guests feel at home. Special mention to Tracey & Dan who were fantastic on the day and were on hand throughout to ensure everything went smoothly. All my guests commented on how nice the hotel was, how amazing the food was and how nice the staff were. You really did make the day so perfect so thank you so much. Anna Wagstaff
My husband & I married at Briery Wood on the 19th December with the Just Us package. It was the most wonderful, perfect experience made even more amazing by the wonderful staff who not only were our witnesses but also went above and beyond to make our day special. Our evening meal was outstanding and we will definitely be back for a meal again. Would recommend anyone marrying/staying at this wonderful hotel but have to say the staff make it memorable as they are so lovely. Emma Skidmore
We got married here at the weekend and what an amazing time we had! All of our guests left happy and are still contacting us to say how wonderful the staff were, how amazing the food was, how beautiful the surroundings were. We had the entire hotel to ourselves all weekend, it's a beautiful home from home. Roger and Lisa were incredible to work with from the very beginning, also David, Danny, and Madga were all wonderful too. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Beautiful memories to last a lifetime! We can’t thank the staff at Briery Wood enough for making our Wedding weekend in September so special! The planning and organisation, room allocation, food, venue, grounds, cleanliness, friendliness ......I could go on and on, was all AMAZING! All our guests thoroughly enjoyed the day/ weekend and we just want to do it all again. We want to also say a special thank you to Roger (manager) and Lisa (wedding co-ordinator) for going the extra mile to make our day perfect. We had around 70 guests at our wedding and the venue size was just perfect. I can’t recommend the Briery Wood enough as a wedding venue and we can’t wait to stay with you again. Mr & Mrs Grimes.

We spend an amazing weekend at the Briery Wood getting married and celebrating with our closest friends and family. The food was amazing, and all the staff are so accommodating. Stayed here for my daughter’s wedding and we all had a fantastic time. Roger the manager was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The staff went out of their way to make everyone’s stay really special and the whole wedding went so smoothly which was a credit to all the hard work the staff put in. The chef is very good and all our food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious x I cannot recommend this hotel enough as they made sure that my daughter felt wonderful and completely stress free on her wedding day. My husband and I recently got married at this picturesque venue. We stayed from Friday to Monday and everything about our special day (and our stay) was perfect. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The staff were all welcoming and went above and beyond for their guests. We really liked the fact that all the staff that worked on our Wedding Day came to find us at the end of their shifts and congratulated us and thanked us for letting them be a part of it. The food was wonderful. We would highly recommend this venue for anyone looking to get married or to enjoy a peaceful getaway in a friendly, relaxed environment. Thanks for making our day so special. Me and my new husband celebrated our wedding here the same weekend as the royals and what a weekend it was! Every single part of the Lakeland package we chose was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an authentic Lake District wedding. Their staff and management at the venue are all amazing, nothing was too much trouble and all my guests spoke highly of the venue and the experience we shared. Chose Briery Wood as our wedding venue. From the minute we stepped in we knew it was right for us. Cosy and intimate with stunning grounds and a beautiful pagoda for an outside ceremony. The staff for the whole weekend were nothing but friendly, helpful, welcoming and accommodating to not only us but all our friends and family. The hotel is clean, rooms are large. Cozy corners to eat, drink or chill. My wedding coordinator was amazing. Calm, efficient and helpful. Because of her the whole day was exactly what we wanted... relaxed and informal. I absolutely cannot thank and praise all the staff for their help and hard work in making such an incredible day for us. The food all weekend was stunning, so many compliments from all our guests! Five stars is not enough! Two of our guests loved it that much they have now booked their own wedding here! I couldn't have picked a better venue and we were so in love every time we visited!! Emma
